At Heller Wealth Management, we’re here to provide you with strategic investment advice and customized financial planning to empower you to live your life with confidence and freedom.

We also want you to feel confident about the service you’re getting from us every step of the way.

That’s why, today, we're going to give you an idea of what it's like working with our team! We will take a closer look at how we transform your vision into a financial plan and investment strategy that will allow you to achieve your financial goals and aspirations.

Read on as we guide you through the process we use at Heller Wealth Management!

What Financial Planning Means to Us

Many people seem to assume that financial advisors are just people who handle money. This couldn’t be farther from the truth, especially at Heller Wealth Management.

Our team values trust, problem-solving, and long-term relationships with clients. We want to help clients reach a point in their life where they can live confidently and feel comfortable in knowing that they have someone behind their back.

When you work with us, your goals become our priorities. We develop and implement a financial plan and investment strategy that follows a step-by-step process tailored to your circumstances and unique needs.

Our Onboarding Process

Believe it or not, but a lot of our prospective clients don't know what they want, where they’re heading, or how to achieve their goals until they’ve been through the whole planning process with us.

So, what happens first? The discovery process.

Typically, we start off with one simple question, “Paint me a paint of your life five to ten years down the road. What do you see?”

This can be an eye-opening exercise for many, as it allows clients to visualize what is truly important and what their financial goals look like. It also helps us develop their financial plan and investment strategy according to their overall vision.

After we’ve figured out your big picture, we then want to start looking at the numbers and create a cash flow analysis.

For this, we will need to get accurate numbers because a minor difference in expenses could lead to a completely different outcome. Along with your expenses, we also create a year-by-year projection of what your income is going to be from pensions, retirement expenses, and other resources to help us understand and determine the right path for you.

Next, we go ahead and create a financial and retirement plan. We do this interactively with you, whether it’s during an in-office meeting or online through zoom. For this step, we are coordinating a lot of different areas like risk tolerance, taxes, social security, investment returns, and inflation projections, so this will not be something that is completed in just one meeting. Instead, we will continuously be observing your circumstances and financial picture to make sure you are on the right track.

Once we’ve completed the discovery process and created both the financial and retirement plan, we fall into step 3, the investment strategy meeting.

This is where we modify your investment strategy to make sure that everything we've discussed in the discovery process and retirement planning meetings will come to fruition and be in-line with your risk tolerance (which we determine through the risk questionnaire we’ve been using with clients for the last 25 years).

Subsequently, we cover tax planning, withdrawal strategies, retirement accounts, Social Security, asset protection, and coverages.

During the planning process, we also look into your estate tax planning. While you may already have an estate attorney and tell us that everything has been taken care of, we often find that attorneys aren't following up and making necessary corrections to asset titles or documents.

It's important to consistently review and update documents to be on the safe side in case the unexpected happens. The most valuable thing you can do is have a second set of eyes on things — and that’s just what we’re here for.

These are just a few of the steps we take to guide you through your financial journey at Heller Wealth Management. Our goal is to allow you to focus on family, friends, and fun — and to make sure you’re not worrying about the financial markets on a day-to-day basis.
